Philippe is the former General Manager of EDF’s Corporate Venture and Innovation Financing activity. He led for EDF the launch of Electranova Capital, a 90M€ venture capital cleantech fund created in partnership between EDF and Idinvest Partners (French private equity firm) in 2012.

He brings over twenty years of experience at EDF in Corporate Finance, Risk Management and Business Development in both B2B, and B2C segments, in France and internationally. Philippe was formerly the Head of Corporate Energy Market Risk Management at EDF. He led the deployment of the EDF’s risk management policy globally and across the group’s main affiliates.

Philippe is an alumnus of the engineering school Ecole Central de Lille, he holds an MBA from HEC.

Prior to joining NEoT Capital, Tomoaki was part of Mitsubishi Corporation’s Environmental Business Division. He was a Project Manager responsible for sales, marketing, business development & investment in energy storage sector related to electric mobility and renewable energy.

Earlier in his career, Tomoaki worked as a Product Manager at Toyota Motor Corporation’s headquarters in Japan where he was in charge of global product planning & marketing of its premium marque Lexus.

Tomoaki holds a Bachelor of Laws from Keio University.

Alain Lopez has more than 10 years experience in the Transport sector as head of acquisitions of Veolia France Transport division (with more than 12 acquisitions in 3 years) and in the Energy sector as senior investment manager in Dalkia. He has contributed to develop and finance many projects in France and Europe (CHP, District Heating Networks, PPPs…).

Before 2007, Alain was manager at PriceWaterhouseCoopers in the Transaction Services department.

He has graduated from Université Paris IX Dauphine and is a certified public accountant.

Olivier has more than 10 years’ experience in the renewable energy industry in France and worldwide.

Prior to joining NEoT, he was in charge of asset management for one gigawatt of photovoltaic assets at Engie Solar (ex-Solairedirect).

He also acquired experience in wind energy at Eolfi-Greensolver (formerly part of the Veolia group) and in hydro power at Fortum (Finnish energy utility). Working in these capacities, Olivier took part in hybrid power plant projects, including energy storage aspects.

He also gained skills with Lithium-Ion batteries when working at Sagem-Défense-Sécurité (part of Safran group).

Olivier has a degree in engineering from Supélec, now called CentraleSupélec.

Aurélien has been working in the mobility, logistics and infrastructure management sectors for more than 10 years after a first experience at Valeo as management controller.

As director at Mensia Conseil, he led multiple projects of partnerships (setting up public service contracts, company takeover, emergence of an innovative solution) with various stakeholders: public (local authorities, public institutions) and private (SMEs and major groups).

He also conducted tendering processes for both sides.

Aurélien has graduated from ESSEC Business School and Sciences Po Bordeaux.

Frédéric has more than 5 years’ experience in the renewable energy industry in France and worldwide.

Prior to joining NEoT, he was working with Smart Energies (a French independent power producer) and was in charge of the development and the financing of photovoltaic power plants and hybrid power plants (with energy storage) in Africa and Middle-East. Frédéric was involved in international tenders and unsolicited projects and has worked closely with development finance institutions.

Frédéric holds a degree in business and management from HEC Paris.

Christophe has been in the battery industry for over 25 years and has developed a strong expertise in designing business models to answer the energy challenges of tomorrow.

Christophe spent 13 years with Saft in international business development and general management positions in France, Germany, the UK, the USA and Asia/ Japan.  In 2001, he acquired Uniross Batteries from Saft/Alcatel, made it a world leader in the portable rechargeable consumer battery market (Europe, North America, South East Asia, Africa) and launched the company on Euronext Paris stock market in 2006. Since 2001, Christophe Gurtner is the Chairman & CEO of Forsee Power, the specialist in lithium-ion smart battery systems for the electric transport, portable and mobile equipment and energy storage markets.

Christophe is a graduate from ISC Business School in Paris.

Yoshiaki is General Manager of the Battery Business Department of the Energy Service Solution Division at Mitsubishi Corporation Headquarters in Tokyo. He is responsible of all activities related to the Energy Storage Business for Automotive and Non-Automotive applications.  Yoshiaki started his career in the Metal Group of Mitsubishi Corporation, as a trader for stainless commodities.

Prior to his current responsibility, Yoshiaki was directly seconded at Lithium Energy Japan, a JV between GS Yuasa, Mitsubishi Corporation and Mitsubishi Motors Corporation, where he was successively General Manager of the Corporate Planning and the Automotive Business Development Department.

Matthieu is a Partner at Idinvest Partners where he leads the Venture Capital Smart City Practice. He is a seasoned and passionate investor in start-ups in Europe and the US with a primary focus on digital and information technologies such as IOT, data analytics, SAAS, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain with vertical applications in Smart Cities, Energy or new mobility.

Before being a venture capitalist has occupied diverse executive positions such as being an operation and investment director in a “unicorn” of the renewable energy sector or leading development and roll out of business software solutions.

Matthieu holds an MBA degree from INSEAD, and is also an alumnus of Ecole Supérieure d’Ingénieurs en Génie Electrique and Oxford Saïd.
